Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We've had a cold and snowy Easter here in Denver with Maria visiting.

Alessi Baptized

So Alessi's big weekend continued with her baptism today. We were able work the timing out to where both sets of grandparents were in town for her birthday and 1 godparent (Maria) was here. My dad stood in for the godfather (my brother, Stephen).

Mark and Stephanie's wedding in the Houston Chronicle

Our friend, Mark, and his new wife, Stephanie, were on the front page of the Life Style section of the Houston Chronicle this past weekend. They're wedding was highlighted for being eco friendly. The article can be found here.

More from Easter

We had a great Easter yesterday. We took the new van on it's maiden voyage up to Fort Collins to visit the Batezels.

Many thanks to the Batezels for their  hospitality. It was nice to be able to catch up with them a bit. These pics are from the park nearby their home.

The car is really nice. Alex and I were able to have a conversation on the way up and back while the kids watched a movie.

Jeff Morrison's site, now selling CD's online

I've been helping Jeff Morrison with his site. He completed his new album at the end of November, in time for Christmas. And I've finally helped him, with huge help from Daniel and just lately, Patti's brother, Gabriel to implement a Paypal shopping cart so that people can order his CD online. We've also started up a blog for him so he can journal about his move to Nashville to go full steam into the music industry, and his most recent tour through Texas. The cover art was done by yours truly and features photography from churches that we've visited in Guatemala. Not to mention that some of the photos were taken by Alex's sister Maria!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We've been having a grand time here in Little Rock. Thanks to Alex's parents for their hospitality in hosting 11 additional people in their home.

We went to 5 o'clock mass last night. Fed the kids dinner and got them ready for bed. Santa came around 8:30 so we got the kids up and they opened presents. They went back to bed around 9:30 or so. We had dinner and everyone finished wrapping their gifts. At midnight, we lit candles and prayed as is their tradition in Guatemala to celebrate Christ's birth. Its a tradition that is moving and beautiful. Afterwards we adults exchanged gifts.

We were able to sleep in a bit this morning. Around 9:30 we were all up and having breakfast. The kids opened their gifts from everyone here. At noon, the tradition is to pray again and wish each other a Merry Christmas.

I normally don't post a lot of design links on this blog, but this is pretty cool. It's a site that lets you navigate the entire Bible on 1 page. 3 levels of navigation enable you to quickly pinpoint a single verse. Try the search. It's cool too.
